Job summary

Edelman Smithfield in New York, NY is seeking a Project Director to lead complex, integrated client work from intake through delivery and financial close. You will coordinate across Account, Strategy, Creative, and Production to translate ambitious ideas into executable plans.

You will define scope, develop workplans, manage budgets and timelines, drive cross‑functional collaboration, and mentor junior PMs while upholding PM standards in a fast‑paced agency setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
• 6+ years of project management experience in integrated marketing/advertising agency environments.
• Proven track record delivering mid- to large-scale integrated programs from planning through execution and financial close.
• Strong experience with scoping, estimating, staffing, scheduling, forecasting, budget management and change control.
• Fluency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint, and experience with Smartsheet or a comparable project management platform.
• Comfort working across multiple disciplines, vendors, partners and senior stakeholders in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead intake for new assignments, clarifying objectives, deliverables, assumptions, dependencies and decision points.
• Define delivery approach, scope of work, staffing plan, timeline and estimates with Account and discipline leads.
• Develop and approve Statements of Work, change orders and related project documentation.
• Translate client asks and creative ambition into practical workplans with clear roles and milestones.
• Own end-to-end delivery of large, complex programs from kickoff through wrap-up.
• Drive workflow across integrated teams, maintaining visibility of priorities, deliverables and next steps.
• Proactively identify risks, dependencies and scope changes; manage escalation and change-control procedures.
• Ensure deliverables meet the agreed brief, quality, brand and budget.
