Job summary

Qualifications

• Formal training or 10+ years of applied software engineering experience, with 5+ years leading technologists.
• Deep experience in identity security, credential systems, PKI, or federated trust.
• Strong understanding of digital signatures, cryptographic verification and key management.
• Experience with secure distributed systems, APIs, and cloud-native engineering.
• Ability to communicate complex trust and privacy decisions across stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Set the technical direction and engineering roadmap for identity and credential trust.
• Lead contributions to industry standards organizations on credentials and privacy.
• Develop reference architectures for issuer/verifier trust and lifecycle controls.
• Define patterns for credential status, revocation, and key rotation.
• Engineer privacy-preserving credential presentation and selective disclosure.
• Differentiate credential claims, identity evidence, and authorization decisions.
• Build threat models, verification components, and automated tests.
• Partner with product architects to apply credential trust to identity, commerce, and payments.
• Maintain traceability between specs, requirements, and engineering implementations.
• Lead cross-functional delivery, mentor technologists, and report findings to standards.
