Job summary

Travelers is seeking a Director of Cybersecurity Engineering to lead IAM initiatives across enterprise SailPoint deployments. You will guide security platforms, coordinate with Audit/Risk, and drive 24/7 availability and robust access controls.

You will mentor a team of cybersecurity engineers, manage budgets, and align IAM strategy with business goals while delivering scalable, automated identity governance across multiple environments.

Qualifications

• Ten or more years in Identity and Access Management (IAM).
• Five or more years hands-on SailPoint experience (IdentityNow/IdentityIQ).
• Three or more years in a leadership role.
• Deep expertise in IAM concepts: IGA, SSO/Federation, MFA, RBAC, ABAC, Zero Trust.
• Experience integrating SailPoint with enterprise directories (AD, LDAP, Azure AD/Entra ID, Salesforce).
• Strong knowledge of identity protocols: SAML, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, LDAP, SCIM.
• Proven track record managing cross-functional teams and enterprise-scale programs.

Responsibilities

• Architect, implement, and maintain SailPoint IdentityNow at enterprise scale.
• Oversee connector development and SaaS integrations.
• Maintain lifecycle automation including joiner/mover/leaver (JML).
• Lead role engineering, role mining, and RBAC design initiatives.
• Lead access certification and recertification campaigns for audits.
• Collaborate with Internal Audit and Risk to address findings.
• Own the IAM support model including incident response and SLA management.
• Establish a tiered support structure (L1/L2/L3) for SailPoint issues.
• Lead RCA for critical IAM incidents and drive remediation.
• Manage on-call rotation and 24/7 platform availability for identity services.
• Oversee patching, upgrades, and health monitoring of SailPoint environments.
• Develop runbooks and knowledge base articles.
