Job summary

The Travelers Indemnity Company is seeking a Director of Cybersecurity Engineering in Hartford, CT. You will lead SailPoint IAM initiatives, drive RBAC/ABAC programs, and align security with business goals to enable trusted customer experiences.

You will manage a team of cybersecurity professionals, shape strategy for identity platforms, and ensure availability, audit readiness, and continuous improvement across enterprise IAM platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5 years of experience in Information Technology Security Engineering or Software engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM).
• Deep expertise in IAM: IGA, SSO/Federation, MFA, RBAC, ABAC, Zero Trust.
• Experience integrating SailPoint with enterprise directories (AD, LDAP, Azure AD).
• Knowledge of identity protocols: SAML, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, LDAP, SCIM.
• Proven track record managing cross-functional teams and large programs.
• Strong understanding of cloud computing and automation concepts.

Responsibilities

• Architect, implement, and maintain SailPoint IdentityNow at enterprise scale.
• Oversee integration with SaaS applications and sources.
• Manage lifecycle automation for joiner/mover/leaver workflows.
• Lead RBAC design initiatives and access control projects.
• Lead access certification and recertification campaigns for audits.
• Collaborate with Internal Audit and Risk to address findings.
• Own IAM support model including incident response and SLAs.
• Establish tiered support for SailPoint platforms (L1/L2/L3).
• Drive RCA for major IAM incidents and remediation.
• Manage on-call rotation for 24/7 identity services.
• Oversee patching, upgrades, and health monitoring.
