Job summary

Pampered Chef is seeking a Director of Human Resources to lead the HR function and serve as a senior people leader, partnering with the CFO and executive team to align workforce planning, culture, compliance, and HR operations with business goals.

The role requires a seasoned HR leader with deep expertise in employment law, investigations, and risk mitigation, capable of translating strategy into practical people practices while maintaining trust and discretion.

Qualifications

• 7-10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience.
• Experience as senior HR authority, not just a program lead.
• Strong knowledge of employment law, labor/unemployment practices, and risk management.
• Experience guiding leaders through change and complex people matters.
• Business acumen with cost implications and workforce planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead the HR function across talent management, employee relations, performance management, compliance, compensation, benefits, HR operations, and team capability.
• Serve as primary advisor on day-to-day people matters, with sound judgment and clear recommendations.
• Build scalable HR processes, governance, documentation, and controls.
• Own employment law compliance across federal, state, and local requirements.
• Coach leaders on performance, development, accountability, and fair evaluations.
• Ensure ethics, compliance, investigations, and manager training.
• Lead talent strategies including recruitment, onboarding, retention, succession planning, and leadership development.
• Partner with Finance on workforce planning, compensation strategy, and HR analytics.
• Prepare HR reports and insights for CFO and executive team.
• Manage HR budget and allocate resources to strategic initiatives.
• Shape a culture of accountability, inclusion, and trust with practical DEI initiatives.
