Job summary

Coastal Building Maintenance in Miami, FL seeks a Director of Housekeeping to oversee all housekeeping and laundry operations, ensuring guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces meet cleanliness, safety, and presentation standards. You will lead the team, manage the department budget, and coordinate with Front Office and Maintenance to deliver an exceptional guest experience.

We require five years of progressive housekeeping experience, including two in management, plus strong

Qualifications

• Five years of progressive housekeeping experience in hospitality.
• Two years in a management role.
• Experience with budgeting, labor management, and inventory control.
• Strong communication, organizational, and guest service skills.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods, safety procedures and chemical handling.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily housekeeping and laundry operations to maintain quality.
• Recruit, train, schedule, coach, and evaluate staff.
• Conduct regular inspections and address deficiencies.
• Coordinate with Front Office and Maintenance on room readiness.
• Develop and manage the departmental budget including labor and supplies.
• Monitor inventory, purchasing, and stock levels.
• Establish cleaning procedures and inspection checklists.
• Respond to guest concerns professionally and take corrective actions.
• Ensure safe work practices and chemical safety compliance.
• Manage lost-and-found procedures and guest privacy.
• Monitor performance and implement improvements.
• Maintain equipment and coordinate repairs or replacements.
