Job summary

CBM Florida is seeking a Director of Housekeeping to oversee all housekeeping and laundry operations, ensuring guest rooms and public areas meet standards for cleanliness, safety, and presentation.

You will lead the housekeeping team, manage departmental expenses, and partner with Front Office and Maintenance to deliver a superior guest experience. The role requires strong leadership, budgeting, and communication skills in a hotel or resort setting.

Qualifications

• Must have progressive housekeeping experience in hospitality.
• Experience leading teams and managing schedules.
• Budgeting, labor control, purchasing, and inventory experience.
• Strong communication, organizational, and guest service skills.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods, laundry operations, and chemical safety.
• Proficiency with basic computer apps; experience with housekeeping systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily housekeeping and laundry operations to maintain quality standards.
• Recruit, train, schedule, coach, and evaluate housekeeping staff and supervisors.
• Conduct regular inspections and address deficiencies promptly.
• Coordinate with Front Office and Maintenance for room readiness and repairs.
• Develop and manage departmental budget including labor, supplies, and equipment.
• Monitor inventory, purchasing, and waste control; maintain stock levels.
