Job summary

Grande Shores Resort is seeking an Assistant Director of Housekeeping to drive execution of housekeeping, laundry, and public area operations. You will help plan, organize, and monitor daily activities, lead training, manage budgets, and ensure top cleanliness and guest service standards across the department.

The role requires strong communication, prior leadership in housekeeping, and proficiency with housekeeping software and common office tools.

Qualifications

• Experience in training staff and supervising a team.
• Experience managing budgets and inventories in a hotel setting.
• Strong scheduling and workforce planning abilities.
• Excellent communication with hotel leadership and staff.
• Familiarity with housekeeping software and general computer tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead training for new and current staff.
• Assist in managing department budget and inventory control.
• Coordinate with hotel administration and other departments to align goals.
• Perform inspections to ensure standards.
• Resolve guest complaints promptly and effectively.
• Participate in hiring and interviewing for the department.
• Analyze data to meet property goals, budget, and compliance.
• Prepare staff schedules according to business demands.
• Maintain inventory of guestrooms and supplies.
• Uphold company safety and security policies.
