Job summary

Hilton Madison Monona Terrace is seeking a Director of Housekeeping to lead recruitment, onboarding, and staffing for the Housekeeping Department, ensuring coverage and operational excellence. You will coach and develop associates and managers, manage budgets, and uphold the highest cleanliness and presentation standards across guestrooms and public areas.

The role emphasizes strategic leadership, payroll, purchasing, productivity, and quality metrics, with collaboration across hotel leadership

Qualifications

• Degree in hospitality or related field preferred.
• Experience in resort housekeeping with four or more years as a Director or Assistant Housekeeper in a property of similar size.
• Spanish language ability is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Lead recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and staffing within the Housekeeping Department to ensure appropriate coverage and operational excellence.
• Provide strategic leadership, coaching, training, and development for housekeeping staff and managers.
• Oversee performance management including evaluations, recognition, corrective action, and career development planning.
• Develop and manage departmental budgets, labor costs, linen inventories, equipment, and operating supplies to achieve financial objectives.
• Ensure high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and maintenance in guest rooms and public areas.
• Drive guest satisfaction by delivering exceptional housekeeping services and addressing service opportunities.
