Job summary

GetHired, Inc. is seeking a Head of Maintenance to lead the hotel’s maintenance and engineering operations, directing preventive maintenance programs and asset management. You will oversee critical systems, safety compliance, and capital planning while partnering with other departments to ensure guest satisfaction.

The role requires 5+ years in hospitality maintenance with 2–3 years in supervision, plus budgeting and vendor management experience. A technical certification or degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or degree in engineering, facilities management, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 5+ years of progressive maintenance experience in hospitality or a similar environment.
• Minimum of 2–3 years of supervisory or management experience.
• Experience with budgeting, capital planning, and vendor management.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and direction for maintenance and engineering operations.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance and asset management programs.
• Oversee HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and life-safety systems.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and OSHA requirements.
• Conduct routine inspections for quality, safety, and operational efficiency.
• Oversee vendor relationships, contracts, and third-party providers.
• Maintain and enforce maintenance policies and SOPs.
• Analyze maintenance data to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
• Collaborate with housekeeping and other departments to support guest satisfaction.
• Ensure documentation of maintenance activities using work order systems.
