Job summary

Zeta seeks an Associate Director or Director of High School History with a Master’s Degree and at least five years of school leadership experience to drive outstanding History outcomes in high school settings.

The role focuses on Vision and Strategy, curriculum and assessment, professional learning, and data analysis to ensure exemplary results on Regents and AP exams while aligning with NYS standards.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in education or related field with at least five years of school leadership.
• Proven track record of achieving academic outcomes in History (e.g., Regents and AP exams).
• Experience designing rigorous History instruction aligned with NYS standards.
• Strong collaboration and data-driven decision making to support student learning.

Responsibilities

• Design rigorous History learning experiences aligned with NYS standards and Zeta competencies.
• Lead High School History to meet ambitious annual goals.
• Collaborate across Zeta to support student learning and school leadership.
• Create and curate unit plans, lessons, and assessments for History.
• Lead professional learning trainings for school principals, APs, and teachers.
• Develop instructional management plans to ensure high-quality History instruction.
• Study data to identify gaps and drive targeted improvements.
