Job summary

Zeta Charter Schools is seeking an Associate Director/Director of High School English in New York. The role requires a Master’s Degree and at least five years of school leadership with proven ELA outcomes.

You will lead ELA strategy, curriculum, and professional learning to drive strong student achievement across multiple NYC-area campuses. The position offers in-person work most days with optional remote days.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Education or related field.
• At least five years of school leadership experience with proven academic outcomes in ELA.
• Strong understanding of NYS ELA standards and assessments.

Responsibilities

• Design rigorous ELA experiences based on complex texts and strong analytical skills.
• Lead high school English to achieve rigorous annual goals.
• Collaborate across Zeta to support growth in student learning.
• Create and curate curriculum and assessments aligned with NYS standards and Zeta competencies.
• Design and lead professional learning trainings for principals and teachers.
• Develop instructional management plans to ensure high-quality English instruction.
• Study data to identify gaps and take action to improve learning outcomes.
• Embrace a growth mindset and incorporate feedback for continuous improvement.
