Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an experienced fundraising leader to drive day-to-day development efforts across its Greater Charlotte region and community programs.

You will identify and steward a diverse portfolio of donors, sponsors, and grateful patients, while shaping strategy, writing proposals, and managing budgets to meet fundraising goals. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and executives will be essential to advance system priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's or CFRE designation a plus.
• Five to ten years of professional fund development and advancement experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Healthcare fundraising experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads, plans, initiates, and implements day-to-day development and fundraising efforts across Advocate Health service lines and community programs.
• Identifies, cultivates, solicits, and stewards a portfolio of prospects and donors.
• Identifies and facilitates connections between system strategic priority work and fundraising to advance strategy.
• Develops a network of support and organizes group facilitation to achieve objectives.
• Builds relationships with community leaders, physicians, AH leaders, board members, and volunteer fundraising boards.
• Works across cross-functional teams to coordinate prospect management and events.
• Leads operations to develop high-quality proposals, including writing, budget development, and stewardship oversight.
• Supports the VP with goals and fiduciary responsibility for budgets and fundraising.
• Progressively monitors accounts and evaluates future opportunities.
