Job summary

Catalent's Kansas City facility is seeking a Director of Project Management to lead the Bioanalytical project management team, drive client satisfaction, and align with global PM objectives. This onsite role collaborates across Sales, Operations, Client Services, EH&S, and QA to meet revenue targets and improve delivery excellence.

The role requires 8–10 years in pharma project/program management, leadership experience, and strong client-facing skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in a scientific discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 8–10 years of project management experience in pharmaceuticals or a related industry.
• Experience in program management with significant external client interaction.
• Approximately 5+ years of leadership experience.
• Proven project management expertise.
• Strong client-facing and customer relationship management skills.
• Leadership, negotiation, presentation, and facilitation skills.
• In-depth knowledge of the contract development/research, pharmaceutical, and biotech industries.
• Catalent internal leadership programs may substitute external experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver programs within agreed timelines, budget, scope, and quality targets.
• Meet site revenue goals, forecasting objectives, and business metrics.
• Maintain high client satisfaction through effective project delivery and escalation management.
• Lead and develop the Project Management team, including performance management and coaching.
• Oversee project execution across multiple programs to ensure successful delivery.
• Act as client advocate and manage escalations and client communications.
• Partner with internal teams to ensure program readiness and resource availability.
• Participate in forecasting, revenue planning, and Sales & Operations Planning activities.
• Support business development efforts, scope changes, and new business opportunities.
