Job summary

Terracon is seeking a GIS Manager to lead a centralized team of GIS Analysts, Administrators, and Data Analysts. You will support CRM and multiple service lines nationwide, shaping capabilities, standards, and workflows.

The role partners with leaders to pursue opportunities and deliver complex GIS-enabled projects. You will recruit, mentor, and develop talent, align staffing with project demand, and drive adoption of best practices, ensuring quality and regulatory compliance across nationwide

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in GIS, geography, environmental science, engineering or related field (10+ years experience) or 14+ years without a degree.
Proficiency with ArcGIS suite, MS Office, AutoCAD and 3D design software.
Experience with relational databases and programming languages (Python, C#, XML, JavaScript).
Valid driver’s license may be required.

Responsibilities

Build, lead, and grow a centralized GIS team across CRM and other services.
Identify opportunities where GIS adds value to projects and clients.
Coordinate GIS support for projects with staffing, schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
Promote standardized GIS practices, workflows, and templates nationwide.
Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to GIS professionals.
Ensure quality assurance and compliance with standards and client requirements.
