Job summary

Terracon Consultants, Inc. is seeking a GIS Analyst I in the Corporate Services department to deliver accurate geospatial data and compelling visualizations that support Terracon’s projects and corporate initiatives.

The role involves sourcing data, building workflows, creating maps and models, and ensuring data quality and proper metadata. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and assist in field data collection while maintaining documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Geography, GIS or related field.
• 1–2 years of professional GIS experience.
• Proficient with ArcGIS or QGIS.
• Experience with data acquisition and spatial analysis.
• Ability to produce clear maps and models.
• Knowledge of metadata standards (FGDC/ISO) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate geospatial data and visualizations to support projects.
• Acquire, manage, and maintain geospatial datasets across service lines.
• Develop and document technical workflows, maps, exhibits, and models.
• Support field data collection and ensure data quality and metadata.
• Collaborate with project teams to identify data sources and methods.
• Troubleshoot GIS software and data issues; provide timely resolutions.
• Assist in training staff on GIS tools and best practices.
