MACOM seeks a Director of MMIC Design Engineering to lead GaN MMIC programs and shape the RF/microwave portfolio. You will guide multiple design teams from concept through production, align resources with strategic goals, and partner with senior leadership to drive innovation and profitability.

You will cultivate a high-performance engineering culture, recruit and mentor top talent, and ensure project success through disciplined design reviews, testing, and process improvements.

Qualifications

• BSEE required; MSEE or PhD preferred.
• 15+ years RF, microwave, and MMIC design experience with amplifier expertise.
• 5+ years leading engineering organizations, including managers and senior technical leaders.
• Proven track record delivering complex semiconductor products from concept through production.
• Extensive knowledge of GaN semiconductor technologies.
• Strong RF circuit design methodologies; experience with ADS.
• Deep understanding of RF characterization, measurement, product qualification, and reliability testing.
• Proven ability to manage multiple development programs simultaneously.
• Budget planning and resource management experience.

Responsabilités

• Direct multiple concurrent MMIC development programs from concept through production.
• Ensure projects meet performance, schedule, cost, quality, yield, and reliability objectives.
• Drive development process improvements and best practices across all engineering activities.
• Oversee design reviews and provide executive-level technical guidance for critical design decisions.
• Ensure effective utilization of Agile development methodologies and project management tools.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Operations, Quality, Marketing, and Supply Chain for successful product commercialization.
