Job summary

Maximus is seeking a Senior Director, Future of Work to lead the strategy, design, and execution of a multidisciplinary function shaping how work, roles, and workforce models evolve in response to AI and automation across the enterprise.

You will own the roadmap, operating model, governance, and budget while collaborating with HR, Technology, and Operations to deliver scalable, data-driven workforce solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 12 years of relevant professional experience.
• Demonstrated success leading multidisciplinary teams or a mid-sized function in a large, matrixed environment.
• Advanced leadership and management capability, including workforce planning.
• Exceptional communication, facilitation, negotiation, and influencing skills for senior leaders.
• Strong conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Working knowledge of AI, automation and their implications for work and workforce models.
• Experience managing budgets, resources, and priorities for a function or portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Lead the multidisciplinary Future of Work function, spanning work design, workforce analytics, and AI/automation architecture.
• Own the Future of Work budget and resource planning, prioritizing people, capabilities, and technology investments.
• Own and execute the Future of Work strategy and roadmap (1–3 years), translating priorities into scalable workforce solutions.
• Lead the redesign of work, roles, and workforce models in response to AI and evolving business needs.
• Establish operating model, governance, decision frameworks, standards, and execution approach.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives across HR, Technology, and Operations with multiple geographies.
• Drive data-backed decision-making related to future-state roles, workforce models, and productivity improvements.
• Define, monitor, and communicate measures of efficiency, capacity, productivity, adoption, and business outcomes.
• Recommend and operationalize strategies, processes, policies, standards, and operating plans.
• Build and lead a high-performing team including workforce planning, hiring, coaching, performance management, and career development.
