Job summary

Gimlet Labs, Inc. is seeking a Director of FP&A to build and lead Gimlet's finance planning and analysis function, owning the consolidated model, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis for a rapidly scaling AI infrastructure business.

You will partner with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to translate strategy into operating plans, connect demand, infra investment, and costs, and establish dashboards and processes to drive clarity, accountability, and growth.

Qualifications

• Approximately 8-10+ years of FP&A, strategic finance, or investment banking with operating finance.
• Ownership of consolidated models, budgets, forecasts, and budget-versus-actual analysis.
• Strong modeling skills, independent assumptions, scenario evaluation, and key drivers.
• Substantial exposure to data centers or large-scale infrastructure capex and planning.
• Understanding how hardware capex, deployment costs, power, cooling, and OPEX affect margins and cash flow.
• Strong data analytics skills and ability to translate complex info into recommendations.
• Experience partnering with technical teams and communicating to financial and non-financial audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end annual operating plan and budget process with periodic reforecasts.
• Own the consolidated financial model and operating assumptions with clear visibility into economics.
• Establish a framework for allocating resources across headcount, spending, and capacity.
• Own cash forecast, runway analysis, and scenario testing of cash flow.
• Develop KPIs and dashboards; report insights to executive leadership and the board.
• Build and lead a high-performing FP&A team and maintain planning tools and processes.
• Partner with GTM, Strategic Finance, and Accounting to align plans and reporting.
