Job summary

Cockroach Labs is seeking a Director of FP&A to reinvent our finance function with AI-driven processes and real-time planning. You will lead a lean team, stay hands-on with modeling, and partner with the CFO and executives to turn AI insights into strategic action in a public-company context.

Based in the Bay Area or New York City, you will drive rolling forecasts, competitive pricing considerations, and investor-focused materials while advancing an AI-enabled finance function.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive experience in finance with strong modeling and analysis.
• Fluency with recurring and consumption-based revenue models and metrics.
• Ownership mindset and bias toward speed in delivering results.
• Experience driving AI-enabled transformations of FP&A functions.

Responsibilities

• Reimagine the FP&A operating model as an AI-native intelligence hub.
• Own long-range strategic planning and pricing/packaging considerations.
• Lead rolling, real-time forecasting with live signals and headcount inputs.
• Serve as a strategic finance partner to the CFO and executives.
• Lead the design and delivery of board materials and investor packages.
