Job summary

BNY Mellon is seeking a senior leader to manage a regional Financial Reporting organization in Boston. You will provide strategic oversight of client relationships, guide complex disclosures, and ensure regulatory compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and Lux GAAP.

The role emphasizes driving process improvements, AI-driven automation, and building high-performing teams while partnering with senior executives to support business growth and risk management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance/Business or equivalent experience.
• 15+ years leading large financial reporting teams.
• Deep technical accounting knowledge across IFRS, U.S. GAAP, Lux GAAP.
• Professional accounting qualification preferred (CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
• Proven strategic partner to senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a regional Financial Reporting organization.
• Develop and execute business plans and operating frameworks.
• Provide leadership on complex financial disclosures and regulatory requirements.
• Serve as senior escalation point for complex reporting and accounting issues.
• Oversee relationships with external auditors, clients, regulators, and internal stakeholders.
• Establish reporting policies, governance standards, and quality controls.
• Partner with senior client representatives and audit leadership.
• Lead client relationship management activities to meet service levels.
• Act as trusted advisor to senior management on risk and governance.
• Drive process improvements, automation, and AI-enabled reporting.
