Job summary

Baya Systems is seeking a Director, Field Applications Engineering to lead a world-class FAE team across Europe and APAC from a remote base. You will drive technical adoption of our fabric interconnect IP, manage design-win opportunities, and oversee pre/post-sales support.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in semiconductor/high-performance networking, NoC/AMBA/PCIe expertise, and strong English communication across diverse cultures in a fast-paced startup environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related STEM field.
• 5+ years in managing customer-facing engineering teams (FAE or Technical Support).
• 10+ years in semiconductor, silicon IP, or high-performance networking sectors.
• Deep understanding of NoC, AMBA protocols (CHI, AXI, ACE), or PCIe/CXL fabrics.
• Familiarity with front-end ASIC design, SoC architecture, RTL verification, and EDA tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead a distributed FAE team across EU and APAC with strategic direction.
• Hire and onboard top engineering talent in regional hubs.
• Provide ongoing technical mentorship and development for the team.
• Set clear regional goals aligned with corporate objectives and drive collaterals for adoption.
• Drive strategy with regional sales to secure design wins and own critical deliveries.
• Oversee customer proofs-of-concept, evaluations, and architectural reviews; present to executives.
• Funnel regional customer requirements to R&D and Product Management and influence the roadmap.
• Create application notes and training collateral for regional ecosystems.
