Stanbridge University in Irvine, CA invites applications for the Director of the Center for Innovation in Teaching and Learning (CITL). This on-site leadership role guides faculty development, instructional design, and evidence-based teaching practices to improve student success across modalities.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years in higher education teaching, a master’s degree (doctorate preferred), and a track record in faculty development, curriculum design, and assessment alignment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required; Doctorate preferred in Education, Instructional Design, or related field.
• Minimum 5–7 years of teaching experience in higher education.
• Demonstrated experience in faculty development, training, or instructional coaching.
• Strong knowledge of evidence-based teaching practices and adult learning theory (andragogy).
• Experience with curriculum design, assessment strategies, and learning outcomes alignment.
• Excellent presentation, facilitation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for faculty development aligned with institutional goals and accreditation standards.
• Promote instructional excellence by integrating evidence-based andragogy and technology-enhanced learning.
• Lead the CITL as a hub for innovation and collaboration.
• Design and deliver onboarding programs for new faculty across all instructional modalities (in-person, hybrid, online).
• Develop and facilitate ongoing professional development workshops, certificates, and faculty learning communities.
• Provide individualized coaching and mentoring to faculty to enhance instructional effectiveness.
• Establish and track metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of faculty development initiatives.
• Collaborate with academic leadership to align faculty development with programmatic priorities.
