Job summary

RYSS Texas Public Schools seeks a Director of Facilities & Property Development to lead facilities, maintenance, safety, and capital improvements for Tejano Center and its programs. You will manage construction, vendor relations, and long‑term planning to support organizational needs.

The role requires ensuring safe, compliant, and well‑maintained facilities, while coordinating with executive leadership, school administrators, and external partners in Houston.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in facilities, construction, engineering, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years in facilities/operations with leadership experience.
• Experience in managing multiple facilities and capital projects.
• Experience with charter schools, nonprofits, or governmental entities preferred.
• Strong budgeting, procurement, and contract administration knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for facilities, construction, safety, and capital improvements.
• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance, projects, and vendor relationships.
• Collaborate with executives, administrators, and partners to ensure compliance and asset stewardship.
