Job summary

Barvin Management is seeking a Director of Facilities to lead and manage the maintenance teams across multi-family properties. The role requires ensuring high-quality facility operations, overseeing preventive maintenance, and coordinating with regional operations and property management to meet budgets and timelines.

The candidate will develop annual CAPEX plans, manage vendor contracts, and drive standardization across properties while traveling to sites as needed to inspect and guide ongoing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering facilities/construction management or equivalent experience.
• Experience with ELISE and/or YARDI maintenance workflows.
• 7 years of multi-family facilities project planning, budgeting, and oversight; 5 years managing a large team across multiple sites.
• Proficient with Microsoft Outlook and comfortable with various technology platforms.
• Construction and/or multi-family apartment industry experience.
• Must be willing to travel up to 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Oversees all aspects of Facilities and Maintenance for multi-family apartments nationwide.
• Leads, manages, and holds the maintenance team accountable for daily operations and performance of first-class facilities.
• Develops plans for organizing long-term and short-term maintenance programs and budgets.
• Ensure work orders for all sites are handled professionally and timely.
• Coordinate with property management and clients regarding work.
• Create training programs for maintenance teams with Learning and Development.
• Identify cost savings, energy and water savings opportunities. Travel between sites to oversee progress.
