Job summary

Chaves County seeks a senior facilities supervisor to manage all county maintenance operations, oversee buildings and grounds, and lead a team of staff. Responsibilities include planning projects, budgeting, and ensuring compliance with codes and safety standards.

The role requires developing a preventative maintenance program, coordinating with the Public Services Director, and managing maintenance software and building control systems to optimize operations.

Qualifications

• Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED, at least six years in a multi-facility complex with supervisory experience.
• Licenses/Certifications: Valid NM driver’s license with good driving record. Must pass security training and use maintenance software/building control systems.
• English communication: Ability to communicate orally and in writing in English.

Responsibilities

• Direct, supervise and evaluate department staff; plan and outline work; provide cost estimates and write specifications.
• Develop and manage Preventative Maintenance Program and oversee the maintenance management system.
• Prepare departmental budgets and requisitions; monitor inventory and records; ensure compliance with codes.
