Legacy Healthcare is seeking a hands-on Director of Maintenance to oversee daily upkeep of our Assisted Living Facility. The role ensures safe, functional, and well-maintained spaces for residents and staff.

The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and proactive with strong problem-solving skills. The position involves coordinating maintenance schedules, supervising staff, and potentially growing into a leadership role within the department.

Qualifications

• Experience in building maintenance or facilities maintenance.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Detail-oriented, reliable, and able to prioritize multiple requests.
• Able to work independently and take initiative.

Responsibilities

• Perform general handyman and building maintenance duties throughout the facility.
• Patch, repair, and paint walls, ceilings, doors, trim, and other surfaces.
• Perform basic plumbing repairs and address minor plumbing issues.
• Replace and repair fixtures, hardware, lighting, and other facility components.
• Perform routine repairs and preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Troubleshoot maintenance issues and determine repairs or when outside vendors are needed.
• Maintain resident rooms, common areas, offices, kitchens, bathrooms, and other spaces.
• Assist with furniture, doors, and appliances repairs or adjustments.
• Conduct routine inspections and identify maintenance needs before they become larger problems.
• Maintain tools, supplies, and maintenance areas in an organized and safe manner.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and urgent facility needs.
• Follow safety procedures and facility policies; keep accurate records of repairs and maintenance.
• Coordinate with outside contractors for specialized repairs.
• Maintain a clean, safe, professional environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
