Job summary

All American Assisted Living is seeking a Maintenance Director to lead the maintenance, safety, and physical condition of the assisted living and memory care community. This hands-on role manages preventive maintenance, apartment readiness, repairs, and life-safety systems, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for residents and staff.

The ideal candidate is organized, responsive, mechanically capable, and adept at coordinating with residents, families, employees, vendors, and leadership.

Qualifications

• Experience in building maintenance, facilities management, or related field.
• Experience developing and managing preventive maintenance programs.
• Supervisory or leadership experience in a facilities setting.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to communicate professionally with residents, families, employees, vendors, and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily maintenance and repair needs of the community.
• Coordinate outside vendors and contractors for repairs, inspections, and projects.
• Develop and maintain a preventive maintenance schedule for building systems and equipment.
• Inspect resident apartments and common areas for maintenance concerns and safety.
• Ensure compliance with life-safety and regulatory requirements.
