Job summary

Lion Real Estate Group, LLC is seeking a Director of Facilities to oversee maintenance performance across a diverse portfolio of communities. This role defines standards, budgets, vendor performance, and training while partnering with CapEx and Procurement to keep assets safe, well maintained and cost-efficient.

The position emphasizes leading multi-site teams, avoiding day-to-day operations, and aligning service delivery with resident and team member experiences.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in multifamily or commercial facilities maintenance.
• Experience running preventive maintenance and risk management programs.
• Experience building and managing maintenance budgets across a portfolio.
• Strong vendor management and contract negotiation skills.
• Knowledge of OSHA, Fair Housing accessibility and local code requirements.
• Experience with property management/work order platforms (Yardi/RealPage/Entrata).

Responsibilities

• Set and maintain portfolio maintenance standards, programs and controls.
• Own preventive maintenance program, schedules and tracking.
• Lead risk walks and manage risk across the portfolio.
• Build and manage maintenance budgets and line items.
• Select, contract and manage vendors with SLAs and insurance requirements.
• Partner with Procurement on national agreements and pricing.
• Share asset condition data with CapEx to inform plans; ensure handoffs to teams with warranties.
• Train and certify maintenance teams; support hiring with Talent Acquisition.
• Maintain service standards, policies and tools for consistency.
