Job summary

Corporate Office seeks a Director of Risk and Insurance to lead enterprise-wide risk management and the insurance program for a multi-brand QSR portfolio exceeding 200 locations. You will report to the Owner and align franchisor requirements with brand-specific needs across states and store formats.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or related field.
• 8–10 years in risk management and commercial insurance across multiple entities or large multi-unit footprints.
• Experience with workers’ compensation, e-mods, and self-insured retention.
• Proven ability to build or lead a risk management team.
• Experience negotiating large commercial insurance programs with brokers/carriers.
• Willingness to travel regularly across brands/regions.

Responsibilities

• Own enterprise risk management framework across all brands and standardize practices.
• Lead risk due diligence for acquisitions and insurance integrations.
• Design and manage a large multi-brand insurance program (GL, property, workers’ comp, auto, umbrella, cyber).
• Oversee claims strategy with TPAs and counsel; escalate high-exposure claims to ownership.
• Own risk and insurance budget; forecast costs by brand and region.
• Develop crisis management protocols and scalable safety training.
