Job summary

Scot Forge is seeking a Corporate Functional Manager, Machining to lead enterprise-wide machining and sawing operations across our IL and WI facilities. You will shape strategy, define standards, and drive continuous improvement across the organization.

You will develop leaders, partner with Plant Managers, and advance CNC programming, tooling, and manufacturing technologies to improve safety, quality, delivery, and capacity. A strong background in heavy manufacturing is preferred.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of machining, CNC manufacturing, metalworking, or related experience.
• Experience leading machining operations, manufacturing teams, or technical organizations.
• Strong preference for experience in heavy manufacturing, forged products, steel, metals, aerospace, defense, or industrial environments.
• Strong knowledge of CNC machining, sawing, programming concepts, tooling, blueprint reading, and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise machining and sawing strategy, standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Oversee safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and capacity across machining operations.
• Develop machining leadership, technical talent, and operational best practices.
• Capital planning, equipment upgrades, automation initiatives, and manufacturing technology strategies.
• Serve as the enterprise subject matter expert for machining, sawing, CNC programming, and related manufacturing technologies.
