Job summary

Seattle University seeks a strategic Director of Enrollment Research and Analytics to analyze new student enrollment trends and build predictive models. You will develop and maintain a reporting library for forecasting and assessment of recruitment initiatives, supporting leadership across enrollment management.

Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral degree in the social sciences, business, education, statistics or a related field.
• 3+ years of progressive experience with data mining and sophisticated modeling of data informed outcomes.
• Knowledge of statistical concepts and programming languages like SAS, R, SPSS or similar.
• Knowledge of relational databases, specifically SQL.
• Experience with student information systems and higher education data.
• Strong ability to present reports to non-technical audiences.
• Experience in data visualization and guiding others in data interpretation.
• Excellent communication, writing, and public speaking skills.
• Understanding of FERPA and federal compliance for higher education data usage.
• Understanding of financial aid and leveraging techniques.

Responsibilities

• Analyze historical enrollment data, market trends, and external data sources.
• Develop predictive enrollment models and enrollment forecasts.
• Identify emerging recruitment markets and opportunities.
• Evaluate scholarship and recruitment strategies using data-driven analysis.
• Provide analytical insights to support enrollment goals.
• Create and maintain a suite of enrollment reports and dashboards.
• Develop a sustainable enrollment reporting infrastructure.
• Produce regular and ad hoc reports for leadership.
• Establish and monitor enrollment metrics and KPIs.
• Ensure access to reliable enrollment data across the university.
• Translate complex data into meaningful decisions for stakeholders.
• Support descriptive and predictive analytics initiatives.
• Serve as the primary enrollment data and analytics resource.
• Partner with leaders to inform strategic decisions.
• Prioritize research projects addressing complex university questions.
