Job summary

Xplor is seeking a Director of Engineering for its Laundry SaaS business unit in Salt Lake City. You will lead engineering teams, oversee new product development, reliability, and debt reduction, and own release and support engineering to enhance customer experience.

You will drive AI-enabled engineering initiatives, manage budgets, and collaborate with Product, Security, and Finance to balance speed with reliability in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience leading engineering teams at a B2B SaaS technology company, including managers.
• Experience building multi-tenant SaaS products in laundry, field services or adjacent SMB verticals.
• Proven track record of shipping SaaS releases at a sustained cadence.
• Proven ability to improve platform uptime, performance and reduce defects.
• Experience running SaaS development, QA and DevOps end-to-end.
• Strong hiring and development of engineering talent and vendor partners.
• Hands-on technical leadership with cloud stack expertise.
• Experience implementing AI-assisted software development practices.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the product roadmap on schedule by improving processes and building scalable ones.
• Raise platform reliability and performance through disciplined engineering practices.
• Build and maintain integrated payments capabilities for Laundry SaaS.
• Own release management, QA and support engineering for Laundry SaaS solutions.
• Partner with Product to shape roadmap priorities and trade-offs to deliver targets.
• Improve engineering efficiency and optimize cloud costs per customer.
• Report on engineering KPIs, velocity, uptime and spend to meet targets.
• Define and execute the AI engineering strategy for Laundry SaaS.
