Job summary

DrFirst is seeking an experienced, hands-on Tech Leader to guide UI and backend engineering for its RxInform platform. You will code, review PRs, and shape architecture across admin and patient-facing UIs, APIs, and data models.

You’ll drive QA automation, align with product, and unblock engineers to maintain velocity. You will also own release readiness for multi-service deployments, coordinate with QA, and mentor engineers on a culture of accountability and technical excellence.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years formally managing engineers, with ownership of hiring and performance management.
• Strong Angular experience. You have shipped production Angular apps, can read Angular 16+ code, follow an Nx workspace, and speak credibly about RxJS, SSR, component architecture, and state management.
• Track record of raising unit and integration test coverage on a real codebase, beyond advocacy in meetings.
• Experience owning the technical side of a release process for a Kubernetes-deployed, multi-service product, including CI/CD pipelines, blue/green and rolling update patterns, and accountability for production incidents and retrospectives.
• Preferred experience in healthcare, pharmacy, or regulated software with HIPAA and PHI handling.
• Active, hands-on use of AI engineering tools in daily workflow (Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor, ChatGPT, or equivalents).

Responsibilities

• Write code and personally review significant pull requests, especially in UI/admin consoles.
• Lead on UI design and engineering direction across component structure, state management, accessibility, internationalization, and SSR correctness.
• Drive QA automation strategies and set coverage expectations for unit/integration tests.
• Partner with server engineers on API contracts, understand data models, and push back on designs.
• Unblock engineers on architectural questions and cross-service coordination.
• Hold a working model of admin UI, client UI, server, and external integrations to spot issues before shipping.
• Own the technical side of release readiness for UIs: container promotion, coordinated cut-overs, and rollback readiness.
