Job summary

CommerceIQ is seeking a seasoned Director of Engineering to own delivery across core product lines and lead a rockstar team of managers and 15+ engineers. You will shape technology strategy and drive scalable, reliable systems on GCP/AWS to support rapid growth.

You will partner with Product, Marketing and Client Services to deliver compelling products on tight deadlines, attract top talent, and build a high-performance culture across distributed teams aligned with the company's growth vision.

Qualifications

Computer Science degree or equivalent with 10+ years of experience.
At least 5 years in a leadership role, managing engineering managers.
Excellent delivery and people management skills.
Hands-on experience building distributed systems on GCP/AWS.
Headhunting and recruiting top engineering talent.
Startup experience and ability to work with distributed teams.

Responsibilities

Deliver new, compelling products to market with Product Management, Marketing, Client Services, and Sales.
Ship great products under stringent deadlines amid ambiguous requirements.
Attract talent, hire engineers, and grow teams rapidly.
Interlock with Sales and Client Services to ensure customer success.
Design enterprise-class SaaS systems.
