Job summary

Tenet Desert is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Director ED - Emergency Department in Palm Springs, CA. The role leads the ED cost center, plans and organizes staff development, and ensures quality and fiscal management.

The Director collaborates with medical directors and physicians, maintains regulatory compliance, and oversees patient information access. Requires California RN license, BLS, and supervisory experience, with a bachelor’s degree.

Qualifications

Current California RN license.
Current American Heart Association BLS Certification.
Three years’ experience in clinical specialty.
Evidence of ongoing continuing education in clinical specialty.
Progressive healthcare experience including at least two years’ supervisory experience.
Basic computer competence.
Demonstrated leadership ability.
Bachelor’s Degree.

Responsibilities

The Director has a 24-hour, 7 day a week responsibility to provide leadership for the cost center(s).
Plan, organize, staff development, performance management and quality management.
Manage fiscal and information management, regulatory compliance and relationships with stakeholders.
Ensure cost center management within the established budget.
Collaborate with medical directors, department chairs and physicians to develop services and ensure quality.
Maintain appropriate access to Patient Health Information.
