Job summary

Qualified candidates will hold a BSN with active RN licensure, BLS/ACLS, and a minimum of 3 years in clinical leadership.

Qualifications

• RN license in good standing
• BSN degree
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Must pass EKG within 30 days of hire
• Must pass NIHSS within 30 days of hire
• Minimum 3 years clinical experience
• Previous management experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership of the telemetry staff related to care of telemetry/progressive care patients and interventional cardiology protocols
• Obtains and interprets information based on patient needs
• Manages human resources at the unit level including evaluation, counseling and hiring
• Maintains performance standards, competencies, and timely evaluations
• Ensures documentation and compliance with department policies and procedures
• Coordinates staff orientation, training, and ongoing education
• Assists in development and achievement of department goals
• Optimizes staffing and resources to meet patient acuity and budget targets
• Supports risk management, safety, and infection control programs
• Ensures effective communication across departments and with management
