Job summary
HP Inc. in the United States is seeking a Device Software Product Director to provide strategic leadership for a global team delivering embedded software for Home, SMB and Volume Laser products.
You will partner with hardware, firmware, quality, and program stakeholders to drive end-to-end NPI execution and modernization through AI and automation. The role emphasizes building leadership, ensuring delivery against budgets, and protecting business continuity while advancing engineering practices
Qualifications
- Four-year or graduate degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- Typically 15+ years of job-related and/or management experience in engineering design or related field.
Responsibilities
- Lead a large, globally distributed engineering organization delivering embedded software on schedule.
- Drive design, build, test, deploy, maintain, and support of embedded software meeting commitments.
- Improve quality and reliability through automated tests, observability, and process discipline.
- Partner with hardware, firmware, QA, and program leaders to align priorities and enable delivery.
- Promote AI-enabled engineering practices, automation, and modern tooling.
- Develop leaders and teams with clear priorities, inclusive leadership, and accountability.
- Oversee the Print geo-location strategy and knowledge transfer to strategic sites.
- Monitor operating spend, manage resources, and maximize business value while preserving delivery commitments.
