Job summary

Blue Bird Corporation is seeking a Director-level leader for Electrical and Controls Engineering. You will direct a multi-site team, shape architecture for powertrains and vehicles, and drive cost-reducing improvements across designs and manufacturing processes.

The role requires 15+ years in manufacturing product engineering in the auto/bus sector and 7+ years of leadership, with a focus on reliability, safety, and manufacturability. U.S. citizen or permanent resident status is required.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering required.
• 15+ years in manufacturing product engineering experience, auto/truck/bus industry preferred.
• 7+ years of relevant leadership experience.
• All candidates must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident; authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Direct the Electrical and Controls Engineering team across multiple sites.
• Establish goals and evaluate performance for quality, safety and reliability.
• Direct the capital spending plan including proposing improvements and business cases.
• Lead launch of new technology and processes, including next-gen electrical architecture.
• Evaluate existing design weaknesses and propose robustness improvements.
• Manage projects from concept to launch.
