Blue Bird is seeking a Design Engineer, Mechanical, EV to join our team. Reporting to theManager, EV Design Engineering, you will collaborate with engineers to develop and refine innovative design solutions, use CAD to create detailed models and drawings, assist in prototype development, and contribute to design reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum of 3 years of Engineering experience with EV powertrain integration.
• U.S. citizen or permanent resident

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers to create and refine detailed design models and drawings.
• Research data to support design decisions and project development.
• Produce designs, drawings, and test docs for mechanical systems.
• Read FMVSS, state, and customer requirements.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations.
• Support design reviews with troubleshooting and feedback.
• Stay current with industry trends and manufacturing processes.
• Work with cross-functional teams for manufacturability.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
