Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in electrical construction, including significant operational and leadership responsibility.
• Proven experience leading large-scale electrical construction projects and/or multiple complex projects simultaneously.
• Demonstrated success managing senior project leadership, including Project Executives, Project Managers, Superintendents, and field teams.
• Strong understanding of electrical construction operations from preconstruction and estimating through execution, commissioning, and closeout.
• Strong financial and business acumen, with demonstrated experience overseeing project budgets, forecasting, cost control, labor productivity, cash flow, change management, and profitability.
• Experience with large commercial, mission-critical, data center, healthcare, industrial, or similarly complex electrical construction projects strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to develop high-performing teams, coach operational leaders, and establish a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Strong knowledge of electrical workforce planning, procurement, scheduling, subcontractor management, and project risk mitigation.
• Demonstrated ability to identify operational and financial risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, relationship management, and executive presentation skills.
• Strong client-facing presence with the ability to build credibility and trust with owners, contractors, developers, and other senior stakeholders.
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on operational leadership and maintain visibility into project execution.
• Strong decision-making skills with the ability to prioritize competing demands across a complex project portfolio.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent industry experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall operational leadership and strategic direction for a portfolio of large-scale electrical construction projects.
• Lead, coach, and develop Project Executives, Project Managers, Superintendents, and other operational leaders.
• Establish clear performance expectations and accountability for safety, quality, schedule, financial results, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain oversight of portfolio-level financial performance, including budgets, forecasting, cost controls, labor productivity, cash flow, change management, and profitability.
• Review project performance regularly and proactively identify operational, contractual, financial, resource, and scheduling risks.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve project execution, operational efficiency, labor productivity, and profitability.
• Partner with estimating and preconstruction leadership to ensure projects are properly planned, budgeted, staffed, scheduled, and positioned for successful execution.
• Oversee workforce planning, staffing, manpower utilization, and resource allocation across the project portfolio.
• Ensure effective coordination between operations, estimating, preconstruction, procurement, finance, safety, and field leadership.
• Support major contract negotiations, procurement strategies, change management, claims resolution, and other significant commercial matters.
• Maintain executive-level relationships with owners, general contractors, developers, engineers, subcontractors, and other key stakeholders.
• Serve as a senior escalation point for complex project issues, providing direction and ensuring timely resolution.
• Establish and continuously improve standardized operational processes, best practices, reporting, and accountability systems.
• Drive a culture of safety, quality, collaboration, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
• Identify and develop high-potential leaders while building a strong pipeline of future Project Executives, Project Managers, and operational leaders.
• Collaborate with executive leadership on business development, strategic growth initiatives, market opportunities, manpower planning, and organizational development.
• Contribute to annual business planning, operational forecasting, resource strategy, and long-term organizational objectives.
• Represent the operations organization at senior leadership meetings and provide clear reporting on portfolio performance, risks, opportunities, and strategic initiatives.
