Job summary

Hippocratic AI seeks a Director of Integration Engineering to lead the team that builds and operates the connections between Hippocratic AI and EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, and athenahealth. You will own production integration and development end-to-end, including architecture, delivery, on-call reliability, and engineering practices to ensure timely go-lives and stable interfaces.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, Health Informatics, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years in healthcare integration engineering, with hands-on Epic integration experience required.
• 3+ years managing production integration or software teams with on-call ownership.
• Deep knowledge of HL7 v2 messaging, flat file interfaces, and REST/FHIR APIs across EHR ecosystems.
• Experience with GitHub for source control, code reviews, and Jira for sprint planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead the integration engineering function and own production integration and development for EHR connectivity.
• Set technical direction and delivery standards while balancing new go-lives with production stability.
• Grow a distributed US-India engineering team with hiring, performance, and on-call management.
• Establish engineering practices for code review, branching, release cadence, and incident response using GitHub and Jira.
• Define standards for tooling (Python data transformation, InterSystems IRIS, Redox) and guide build-vs-buy decisions.
• Collaborate with Product and Partnerships to scope, size, and commit to go-live timelines.
