Job summary

Yona Solutions is seeking a Food Services Director to lead the dietary department in a long-term care facility. You will supervise staff, plan menus, ensure regulatory compliance, and manage budgets.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent customer service, and the ability to maintain high-quality dining programs for residents. The ideal candidate will have an associate's or higher degree in food service management or hospitality, valid certifications, and prior supervisory experience in

Qualifications

• Associate's or higher degree in food service management or hospitality.
• Food service supervisory experience; at least two years in long-term care preferred.
• ServSafe Certification for Managers
• CDM/CFPP certification (ANFP)
• Strong staff supervision and motivational abilities
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet goals
• Proficient in Windows Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Responsibilities

• Interviews, hires and orients dietary staff
• Trains workers in procedures and operation of equipment
• Plans, organizes, directs, coordinates and supervises dietary department functions
• Supervises and evaluates the quality of work
• Forecasts and plans purchases of supplies and equipment
• Plans work and staffing schedules to ensure adequate services
• Maintains required records (inventory, compliance, income/expense, personnel)
• Conducts regular management staff meetings and coordinates with other departments
• Manages a cost-effective program to budget
• Keeps department survey-ready and compliant with regulations
• Maintains relations with residents, visitors and community departments
• Participates in facility meetings and committees
• Follows Company policies and promotes professional growth
• Conducts quality assurance rounds and reports initiatives and goals
• Promotes resident satisfaction and a safe, sanitary operation
