Job summary

K&L Gates is seeking a Director of Digital & Technology Strategy & Execution to lead the operational engine of the Digital & Technology organization. You will report to the CDTO and oversee the PMO and BRM teams, driving strategy into coordinated delivery and measurable outcomes.

This role blends chief-of-staff elements with portfolio leadership, ensuring digital initiatives are planned, resourced, governed, and delivered with excellence aligned to firm objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.
• 10+ years in technology strategy, delivery, or operations leadership.
• 5+ years leading and developing teams in senior roles.
• Experience translating executive strategy into delivered outcomes in a matrixed org.
• Experience in professional services, legal, or client‑driven environments preferred.
• Certifications such as PMP, PgMP, PfMP or BRMP/ITIL are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the CDTO's principal execution partner, delivering the CDTO's strategic priorities from decision to measurable completion.
• Act with delegated authority, deputizing for the CDTO in meetings and decisions.
• Translate strategy, OKRs, and roadmaps into coordinated, tracked plans with owners, milestones, dependencies and outcomes.
• Maintain an authoritative view of commitments and progress, surfacing risks and issues.
• Prepare executive briefings and materials for management committee and board discussions.
• Provide leadership to the PMO, setting operating model, governance, standards and delivery methodologies.
• Own the technology project and program portfolio end to end: intake, prioritization, sequencing, resourcing and benefits realization.
• Establish portfolio reporting across scope, schedule, budget, risk and value for stakeholders.
• Direct project financial planning and forecasting, aligning spend with budgets and investment priorities.
• Mature delivery capability, tooling and standards, and coach project managers.
• Lead BRMs to build trusted partnerships translating business strategy into technology outcomes.
