Job summary

Schwab's Digital Assets team is building secure, scalable custody capabilities that expand how clients access cryptocurrency and tokenized assets. As Director of Digital Asset Custody, you will define the product strategy and roadmap for custody capabilities that safeguard digital assets throughout their lifecycle.

You will translate client, business, technology, regulatory, and risk needs into clear requirements and delivery priorities.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in product management, product strategy, platform product management, custody, brokerage, banking, payments, or financial-services technology.
• Experience owning complex digital-asset custody or cryptography platform capabilities across strategy, requirements, delivery, launch, monitoring, and controls.
• Knowledge of cryptocurrency and blockchain concepts, including wallets, addresses, private keys, transaction signing, blockchain networks, tokens, and smart contracts.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and key management, including private-key protection, hardware security modules, access controls, segregation of duties, and secure key recovery.
• Experience translating technology, operational, risk, and regulatory needs into product roadmaps, requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and delivery priorities.
• Experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives involving technology, operations, legal, compliance, risk, cybersecurity, finance, and third-party providers.

Responsibilities

• Define the product strategy and roadmap for digital asset custody capabilities.
• Translate client, business, technology, regulatory, and risk needs into clear requirements and delivery priorities.
• Guide decisions involving wallet infrastructure, transaction authorization, blockchain connectivity, asset servicing, reconciliation, controls, and resiliency.
• Coordinate across product, technology, operations, cybersecurity, legal, compliance, risk, finance, and external providers.
