Job summary

Morgan Stanley in New York/California is seeking a Blockchain Engineer at Director/VP level to lead a cross-functional team building secure, scalable digital asset custody and tokenization capabilities within the Digital Assets Platform Technology group.

You will define the engineering roadmap, drive secure integrations with custody and wallet providers, implement secure coding and CI/CD practices, and collaborate with risk, legal and product teams to meet regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in technology roles with leadership experience.
• 3+ years with digital assets, blockchain, or tokenization.
• Strong security-by-design mindset and risk awareness.
• Experience with custody, wallet integrations and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a cross-functional engineering team for secure custody capabilities.
• Define the engineering roadmap for custody, wallet, key-management and blockchain connectivity.
• Design custody solutions with security, auditability and resilience in mind.
• Establish secure transaction lifecycles from creation to reconciliation.
• Partner with cybersecurity, legal, compliance, operations and product teams.
• Own production readiness: CI/CD, monitoring, incident management and DR.
