Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking a Director of DevOps, Support, and Operations to lead the DSCX portfolio, ensuring security, reliability, and compliance across 30+ digital products. You will standardize processes, reduce toil, and build automation while coaching a 6–8 person team in a fast-moving defense and systems environment.

You will own on-call rotations, disaster recovery, and vendor management, driving SLA/SLO definitions and blameless post-mortems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of professional experience OR Associate’s with 11+ years OR High School Diploma with 13+ years.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Application Operations and IT.
• Note: Military experience is equivalent to professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Own vulnerability remediation and high-priority defects across the DSCX portfolio.
• Ensure compliance against the BISO D&S-wide program including CMMC obligations.
• Own the remediation backlog with a named owner and target date.
• Escalate when remediation is blocked by vendor dependencies or legacy systems.
• Cut manual operational work; own the automation backlog and burn-down.
• Set the infrastructure-as-code standard for the portfolio.
• Build for cause removal, not just ticket clearance.
• Own SLA, SLO, and SLI definitions and reporting.
• Lead blameless post-mortems and track action items to closure.
• Run Daily Visual Management for the operations team.
• Retire, rewrite, or absorb 15+ legacy applications and reports.
• Manage on-call rotations and disaster recovery planning.
• Own vendor renewals, certifications, and support relationships.
• Lead, coach, and develop the operations team and culture.
