Job summary

Catholic Charities Diocese of Charlotte seeks a Director of Development to provide strategic leadership for a comprehensive fundraising and donor engagement program. You will integrate annual giving, major gifts, planned giving, events, and communications, building relationships with parishes, volunteers, and community partners.

Work with leadership to set priorities, establish a multiyear plan, and oversee donor stewardship across channels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and at least five years of progressively responsible fundraising or development experience; experience in fundraising strategy, annual giving, stewardship, major gifts, planned giving, events, or external engagement.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain a strategic fundraising plan with goals, audiences, strategies, timelines, responsibilities, and measures of success for annual giving, major gifts, planned giving, external engagement, events, and donor stewardship.
• Establish and monitor revenue, donor acquisition, retention, upgrade, engagement, and stewardship goals; adjust strategies based on results.
• Collaborate with leadership to translate needs into donor opportunities and align fundraising with strategic priorities.
• Coordinate major gifts work, portfolio management, and reporting with the Diocese and program leadership.
• Oversee Raiser's Edge NXT usage, data quality, dashboards, and staff training.
• Ensure timely donor acknowledgments, stories, and stewardship communications across channels.
