Job summary

The Catholic Diocese of Fort Worth seeks a Director of Development and Stewardship to lead a comprehensive fundraising and donor stewardship program in support of parish and diocesan mission.

Working with the Pastor, Business Manager, and the Advancement Foundation, the director will develop strategic plans, manage major gifts, capital campaigns, grant writing, and donor communications, while overseeing hospitality fundraising and events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or comparable years of experience.
• Nonprofit fundraising experience, including major gifts and campaigns.
• Proficiency in donor management systems (Raiser’s Edge/Blackbaud).

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a Strategic Development Plan with fundraising goals.
• Lead major donor gifts, capital campaigns, grants, and stewardship programs.
• Oversee hospitality and food-service fundraising initiatives and events.
• Manage donor recognition and long-term donor relations.
• Serve as liaison with the Advancement Foundation and community stakeholders.
• Track activity and report metrics using databases and spreadsheets.
• Develop and execute a Communications Plan for development activities.
• Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers and manage the Development budget.
