Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Developer Advocate Manager to lead a team that advocates for our Data + AI Platform. You’ll translate product roadmaps into developer-ready content, coach a growing team, and shape a cohesive DevRel strategy across Open Source, App Dev, and DevRel Programs.

You’ll drive developer education, host events, and grow global meetups while collaborating with product and engineering teams to align community initiatives with product objectives.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of combined experience in developer relations or developer advocacy and in a hands-on technical role.
• 2+ years managing and growing a developer relations team.
• Exceptional communication skills with track record in writing, speaking, and teaching.
• Deep empathy for developer needs and ability to craft engaging experiences across tutorials, notebooks, and community platforms.

Responsibilities

• Own developer relations for the Databricks Platform end-to-end — set the strategy, define success, and be accountable for outcomes.
• Hire, level, and grow a team of Developer Advocates with clear expectations and visible career paths.
• Establish repeatable advocacy approaches and content flywheels for the rest of the DevRel org.
• Build a team of storytellers who can simplify a complex platform and scale through community.
• Represent the practitioner community inside R&D and turn friction into a prioritized roadmap change.
• Drive awareness and adoption of Databricks technologies through talks and conferences.
• Guide the creation of high-quality educational content — videos, notebooks, datasets, tutorials, and blogs.
